Football at Trumper Park
This sign was affixed to the western side of the grandstand, facing Hampden Street, indicating that Trumper Park was the home of Australian Football in Sydney and that games were played there every Sunday.

1877 Albert Cricket Ground, Redfern, venue of first game of Aust football
1877 Albert Cricket Ground, Redfern, venue of first game of Aust football. It was roughly bounded by Elizabeth, Redfern, Kettle and Moorehead Streets Redfern. This was a 'private ground' and the only such fenced facility of the time. It housed many top line cricket games but was sold off when the SCG was opened in about 1878.
