Description:Article appeared in the Evening News (Sydney, NSW : 1869 - 1931), Wednesday 6 May 1903, page 2: At a meeting of the Alexandria Methodist Institute Club (Australian rules), the following officers were elected: President, Mr. F. Piggott; vice-presidents, Sir John See, G. B. Edwards, M.P., G. Anderson, M.L.A.. Aldermen G. Howe and J. Symons; hon. secretary, Mr. A. J. Winwood, hon. treasurer, Mr. H. Watters. None of these officials are recognizable so this may not be Australian Football. Having said that, there was an Alexandria Club playing in the Sydney Competition at this time.1910 newspaper report: A letter was read from Mr. Smith, of the Alexandria Institute, stating that a team would be entered from the Institute. A playing ground has been secured by the Association for the season. The situation is in St. Peters neighborhood. It lasted to 1911.
